Drug Uses
Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant and it is purposed to relieve pain and stiffness of muscle injuries such as sprains, strains and muscle spasms. The active substance in Cyclobenzaprine is cyclobenzaprine.
How Taken
Cyclobenzaprine contains 10 mg tablets, and the usual adult dose is one 10 mg tablet taken three times a day. The normal daily dosage is 60 mg and you should not take more. If you have stomach problems while taking it, you should combine your dose with food. You should take Cyclobenzaprine the way it is prescribed. Do not take more or less than the prescribed doses or use it more frequently.
Warnings/Precautions
Cyclobenzaprine is sometimes not appropriate for some patients. Inform your doctor about any health problems that you have had in the past or that you are treating now. Possible side effects can be put to minimum if you follow your doctor’s directions. Inform your doctor in case of any of the following conditions that you have had or have: allergies, heart disease, difficulty urinating, glaucoma, an overactive thyroid gland. You also have to tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding a baby.
Missed Dose
I If you forget to take a dose, just dot as soon as you remember. If it is too close to the next dose, leave the missed one and follow your normal dose schedule. Do not take two doses at a time in order to catch up.
Possible Side Effects
The first few days your body is adjusting to the new drug so it is possible to appear the following complaints: heartburn, headache, dry mouth, upset stomach, dizziness or drowsiness. In case you have any of these symptoms and they continue bothering you, contact your doctor immediately. You should also contact your doctor in case you experience: swelling of the face, itching, skin rash, muscle stiffness, rapid heart rate, difficulty urinating. When rising quickly from a sitting or lying position, dizziness or lightheadedness may occur. You should be careful and try to avoid activities related to alertness due to the risk of feeling dizzy or drowsy. If you observe any other activities than those listed above, consult your physician

Keep at 25°C (77°F); excursions permitted to 15-30°C (59-86°F) and out of reach of children.
Overdose
Overdose symptoms may include: tiredness (extreme), breath shortness, breathing difficulties, extreme nervousness or restlessness, hallucination, flushed skin, racing or irregular heartbeat, unstable temperature, seizure, unusual muscle stiffness, vomiting (in combination with these other symptoms).

Cyclobenzaprine is likely to have interactions with MAO inhibitors, which can be life-threatening. Cyclobenzaprine increases the of alcohol, barbiturates, and other CNS depressants.
